Mango Peda is a delicious Indian sweet made with mango pulp, milk, milk powder, khoya, paneer, and nuts.
The mango peda is an easy, quick, and instant dessert recipe, especially made during summer when mangoes are available in the market in abundance and easily.
The mango peda is the extension of the traditional milk peda, with the additional flavor of mango. The mango peda is a perfect sweet dish to relish after a meal or for any occasion at home. In India, mango peda and barfi are the most common and popular mithai made in every house with different variations and ingredients. The mango peda is a versatile recipe with a long-lasting taste and an appealing color.
The traditional method of making pedas is time-consuming. It involves boiling milk for hours until it has reduced in half, flavoring, and finally shaping it. However, I’m excited to share an instant and simple recipe that allows you to make mango peda in just 20 minutes using easily accessible ingredients – mangoes, paneer, milk, milk powder, sugar, cardamom, and saffron. During the summer, I always enjoy making these mango pedas at home.
Here are a few tips for making delicious mango peda:-
– Use good quality mangoes. I suggest Alphanso mangoes, which are best in taste and color. Alternatively, market-brought mango pulp will also work for this recipe, with a slight difference in taste.
– Use fresh paneer. Paneer helps to absorb moisture in the mangoes and gives a good texture.
– Roast the mango pulp on a low flame until it thickens. It reduces the time for making pedas, suggesting not to skip this step.
– Once the pedas are ready, they are soft. Allow them to sit(rest) for a few hours; they will slightly turn hard in texture. You don’t have to keep them in the fridge.
-The mango peda shelf life is a week. Keep them in the fridge if you want to store them for a long time.
-The sweetness is perfect for these pedas. If you relish more sweetness in your mithai, you can always add it to your taste.
Try this flavorful, tasty, mouth-watering mango peda or aam peda at home and enjoy it with your friends and family. If you are looking for a आम पेड़ा, mango peda, or aam peda recipe in Hindi, watch the video with the subtitles and follow the instructions to make them easily.
